Is there parking at Green House? Yes, we have a guest parking space right outside the house. There is also street parking just around the corner.

What time is breakfast served? Our breakfast is available from 8am to 9am every day. It is always possible to have an earlier breakfast, and sometimes possible to have it later. Please discuss with us when making your reservation or on arrival

Do we require a minimum stay? No, there is not normally any minimum night's stay at Green House. Please check when you are making a reservation as sometimes there is a minimum stay, for example at New Year.

Do you have a room with a private bathroom? Our room has a private en-suite shower room. There is no bath tub.

What part of Bideford are you in? We are on the East side of the river, a couple of minutes from the historic Long Bridge which crosses the River Torridge and the Royal Hotel. We are in easy walking distance from the Town centre, shops, cafes and the Burton Art Gallery .

How close are you to the Tarka Trail? We are a walker's and cyclist's paradise - This popular traffic-free walking and cycling trail is virtually on our door step, there is a view of it from the bedroom window. There is also a bicycle hire shop about 2 minute's walk from the house and situated on the trail.

Can I hike from Bideford? Green House and Bideford are a walkers paradise. There are hikes to and along the coast from our door step. The traffic-free Tarka Trail is seconds away from the house. There are also hikes that start a short bus ride or drive away. We can advise you on where and when to walk, depending on weather and tides.

Is the area safe? Yes, we are in a very safe part of Bideford. Walking into town from Green House is a lovely walk along a lane of old houses that runs parallel to the river and over the historic long Bridge and river Torridge. Bideford always has plenty of friendly people walking about its streets even late at night, we have never felt threatened or uneasy.

Where is the beach? Our local beach is at beautiful Westward Ho!. It is a lovely walk using public footpaths over the fields and down to the beach. It is also accessible easily by a very regular bus service; the journey time is 10 minutes. Instow is also 3 miles away along the Tarka Trail and is very safe.

How far in advance do I have to reserve a room? While we can't predict the future, weekends and Summer weeks are in high demand and often fill up in advance. Give us a call to see if we have vacancies.

What is our cancellation policy? 72 hours before arrival date for up to two nights. One week before arrival for stays of three days or longer.
