Green House Vegetarian Bed and Breakfast
About Green House B and B
- We make sure the room is clean and prepared for your arrival with a comfortable bed and quality cotton linen.
- We serve breakfast to order so you can choose how much, and what you want, to eat and at a time to suit you.
- Your room has a private bathroom with a shower.
- We ensure your stay will be comfortable, but we don't fuss over you and we afford you a lot of independence. We know you aren't coming to Bideford to see us and that you have limited time to enjoy our town. You are well cared for, but left alone unless you would like to chat to us about walking, wildlife, cycling, food, art, photography or anything else we might be able to help you with.
- Our room has no common walls with another bedroom so your privacy is observed.
- We always have local magazines and newspapers available for you to peruse.
- Our location is perfect for the traveller. We are set just off a quiet residential street on a little alley, with no traffic and with views of the river Torridge from your bedroom window. We are a few minutes from the town centre and it is perfectly possible to spend a few days here without driving, but instead to walk, ride a bike and take the bus. These days it is a luxury to spend a weekend or a week without getting in your car.

About Us - Sadie and Dave Green
We are husband and wife team Dave and Sadie Green,
we run a small, friendly business, committed to our guests enjoying
themselves at Green House Bed and Breakfast and to enjoying Bideford
and North Devon. We also run a sister business, experienceDevon, a
tailor-made holiday itinerary planning service for visitors who are
interested in the arts, culture and natural environment. You could stay
at Green House bed and breakfast and also have us write an itinerary
just for you!
We are frequent travellers and have experienced countries in Europe,
most of the USA , including all of the States west of the Rockies,
Canada and Mexico as well as most parts of the UK. We have a love of
independent travel, enjoying exploring alone.
When we travel, we often look for exclusively vegetarian B and B's,
within walking distance of the town centre and all its amenities and
with hikes from the door step, so we do not need to drive everywhere.
We also like to learn about the local history of the area we're
visiting and enjoy hosts who know about the area they live in and can
help us make the most of our stay. We run our bed and breakfast to be
the kind of B&B we would feel comfortable in ourselves.
Dave and Sadie have lived in Bideford, North Devon for four years.
During that time they have delighted in getting to know the area's
footpaths, coastpaths, bike trails, coastal scenery, villages and
towns, cafes, artists, musicians and historic buildings.

Dave is a digital photographer and has also taught and run workshops in photography for the last 17 years. Dave's amazing images of the North Devon coast, particularly the hidden caves on the beaches, can be seen on the walls of Green House and on his website at www.greengallery.co.uk
Sadie is an experienced Arts Project Manager, having worked in this field over the past 9 years in North Devon, Northamptonshire, and Tucson, Arizona. She still undertakes freelance work in this area.
It is our philosophy to approach life, people and places with curiosity and enthusiasm, and to share our knowledge and contacts with others. This enables life in North Devon to be enjoyed, not only by us, but also by others who choose to visit this beautiful and engaging part of England.
